This week at"I am the Diva" we get to try the pattern "Zingo" created by Molly's Hollibaugh little daughters Indy and Mazzy which showed us in their "kitchen table tangle video" how fun and beautiful zantangle can be for all ages. Great job girls! This tangle reminded me of my grandmother's brooch, so I created this tile around that nice memory.
This tile is for Indy and Mazzy... I hope you like it ;-)
For this week at Adele's Bruno "It's a String Thing Challenge #187" we had a shamrock inspired string as a tribute to the great St. Patrick. It is a very interesting string where the shamrock corners are cut of. The patterns to use for this challenge were "Lucky" by Adele Bruno, "Cayke" by Rose Brown and "Rixty" by Maria Thomas. I only used the first two patterns since I didn't have enough space to add the third in a way that I liked ;-)
Here is my take on this Challenge:
For this week's challenge at "I am the Diva" we were asked to use the pattern "Amphora" from the amazing Lily Moon. I absolutely love all of Lily Moon's work so it is a joy to try one of her tangles.
This was an interesting challenge for me. I have been constantly coughing and taking strong medications for asthma which help me breathing better but made me a bit shaky and weak. It seems that while I am drawing I have longer periods with no cough, so I kept drawing as it is helping me so much, that is why instead of the typical one tile I have three tiles for this challenge. Even when I am not completely fond of this tiles (shaky hands and making mistakes, as I will explain later) I am posting all of them, maybe as with my family, each person might like a different one.
First Tile
Second Tile
And Third tile
For this week at Adele's Bruno "It's a String Thing Challenge#186" we were asked to draw using a String in the shape of the mathematical "PI" symbol in honor of the National PI Day in the United States. The tangles to work with were: "Wacho" by Livia Chau, "W2" and "Pokeroot" both by Maria Thomas, Zentangle co-founder.
