This week at Adele's Bruno "It's a String Thing #197" we had to work with a "V" shape string and the patterns "Tint" by Henrike Bratz, CZT, "Bales" by Maria Thomas and "Antidots" by Anita Roby-Lavery. Here is my Tile: I loved drawing "Tint's" different variations, and I played a little bit with Bales in the "V" section, where I added four tinny petals with black micron joined by the circle in the center and then filled the background with brown. When I was filling the brown areas I realized that in the top section I created a more open Bales compare to the center and bottom sections where the pattern appears closer together, once I added the brown in the back it created two different effects, one area with more whites and the other with more browns. I liked them both, but it is something to consider in the future depending in the effect we are going for ;-) This was done on a cream colored card-stock and with black and brown Micron pens and graphite for shading. For "I am the Diva Challenge #318" we had to create a "Diptych" which from the little information I could find, I got the idea that it seems to be like two panels or sections with similar or echoing design in both of them joined by a center part (with or without hinges or stitches)...I hope I got the right idea right ;-) Here is my tile with my interpretation of "Diptych": I used a circular white paper zendala size which I turned the bottom section back to create a kind of stand, then I made a few cuts in the stand area so the two panels could open or close similar to a room divider. The patterns in this tile are Tipple and Icanthis. I used a black and brown Micron pens, a Prismacolor Premier Fine line marker 005 for the tinny tipple and graphite for shading. I loved Icanthis pattern and I have being playing with it lately, in this case instead of creating a "s" shape stem I made a straight line and then the regular leaf veins. It makes a nice variation. I hope you liked them and come and visit often. As always if you would like to try something from this post on your own work please feel free to do so. - CraftyGirl |
