In this week at "I am the Diva Challenge #313" we were asked to celebrate "Earth Day" using some recycling paper or product and/or creating a drawing celebrating Mother Earth. I decided to draw on a 5 pound protein powder plastic container I had on my recycling bin.
Here are the results:
This was actually a very easy and fun project. The label was only glued in one small section and came off really quickly. I used a Sakura Gelly Roll 0.8 White Pen. Sometimes the surface was a bit scratchy for the pen, but still worked very well and this created a very nice effect where it looks like if it was done with chalk.
I am very happy with the end result and now this container has a brand new purpose, and that feels good too! I still have more plastic containers to work with. Once I removed the labels I found some of them are white plastic underneath so I will be using black sharpie markers on them. My mind is full of ideas !....for coffee, cereal, cat's food, if you have small children you can store Lego pieces, crayolas, little cars, so many possibilities ;-) I hope you like it and come and visit often. As always if there is anything from this post that you would like to try in your own work, please feel free to do so. -CraftyGirl Comments are closed.
