In this week's at Adele's Bruno "It's a String Thing challenge #191" we had a string in the shape of an egg with zigzag lines and we had the four tangles to choose from.. I used on my tile only three of them : "Zenith", and "Echoism" from Zentangle and "Mel Mel" from Adele Bruno herself.
Here is my tile:
This was such a great challenge. I had an urge to fill "Zenith's" triangles with gems and I filled "Mel Mel" flowers center using the same colors... so much fun!! Thank you Adele!
I really enjoyed the time creating the Gems by adding and trying different colors. I don't know if anyone is interested in knowing which colors I used, but just in case here there are: For the Red Gems I used "White", "Blush Pink", "Pink", "Carmine Red", "Crimson Red", "Magenta", "Crimson Lake", "Blue Indigo" and "Sunburst Yellow". For the Blue Gems I used: "White", "Light Cerulean Blue", "Peacock Blue", "Copenhagen Blue", "Violet Blue", "Indigo Blue" and "Lemon Yellow" all in Prismacolor Colored Pencils. I Blended all the colors with a stump with a little bit of Baby Oil and at the end added highlights using a White Gel Pen. For the initial drawing I used Micron pens in black and brown and the shading was done with graphite. I hope you like it and thanks for visiting this post.
