This week at Adele Bruno's "It's a String Thing Challenge #220" we had a string with curves from the letter "G" for Gratitude and we had to use the patterns "Z-trick", "Gra-vee" and "Printemps. Here is my tile: 3.5" by 3.5" tile with patterns Z-trick, Gra-vee and Printemps. In this particular tile I wanted to try all the tips Adele mentioned on her post to make Printemps look more interesting. I had fun changing Printemps sizes, I added more weight in a side of some of them, added sparkles in others and even decided to use pens with different widths starting with .005 Prismacolor Premier black pen, then Micron 01 pen and lastly Sharpie Fine pen, alternating them all the time. I liked how this created more variety and texture. The texture created with all the different widths and sizes is even more apparent in real life than what it shows in the picture. I loved how it looks and how relaxing it was and will definitely will be drawing Printemps like this again! ;-) I used a Sepia Micron pen and brown colored pencil for shading on Z-trick and did Gra-vee a bit different adding sparkles with a Brown Micron pen and a peach colored pencil for shading. I hope you like it and might want to try Printemps variations. Believe me, alternating pen widths helped me concentrate in the drawing so much that the rest of the world and its day to day problems just faded away! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and please feel free to use anything from this post in your own drawings.
Thanks in advance to all of you leaving kind comments. Until next time, Happy tangles and May your life be full of Joy and Wonder...Stay Inspired! - CraftyGirl Comments are closed.
