Tile for "I am the Diva Challenge #309"

3/31/2017

This week at "I am the Diva" challenge we had an opportunity to use the new official tangle "Noom" from Zentangle headquarters. It is a beautiful new tangle with a leafy kind of look. I thought it was a good opportunity to pair it with other leafy looking patterns . So I used "Finery" also from Zentangle headquarters and my new tangle released last week "Deco Scrolls" .

Here is my tile:

I would like to offer you my new tangle pattern "Deco Scrolls" (as in "Decorative Scrolls")
Picture
My parents love antique carve furniture so I grew up around beautiful ornate furniture. As a little girl I used to stare at the carvings in my dresser mirror thinking of the creative hands that did all that work. A big part of the carvings where made using "S" or "C" scrolls and then decorations on the sides (hence the name "Deco Scrolls").
I have found myself many times (specially when I am not even thinking) drawing waves and scrolls with decorations similar to "Flux" that in a way remind me of those wood carvings. That is how this tangle came to life, with no real intention and simply enjoying the waves ;-) I hope you like it!

Tile for "I am the Diva challenge #308"

The challenge for this week at"I am the Diva" is to create a tile using your "MacNCheese" ,or as we call it  here in Canada my "Kraft Dinner" tangles, in other words to use those tangles that are easy and give you comfort, that you tend to use frequently because they help you relax and feel good.

I created my tile around my three "MacNCheese" tangles: "Flux" and "Tipple" both by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas and "Sand Swirl" by Karry Haun.

For this week's  as a celebration of the arrival of Spring at Adele's Bruno "It's a String Thing #188"  we had an interesting String almost like a Pinwheel and very organic patterns to use. The patterns include "Fricle" by Julie Evans, and "Zinger and Fescue" both from Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas founders of Zentangle.

Here is my tile:
