"Feed the Good Wolf" Zentangle Inspired Art

1/28/2017

PictureDrawing witn Prismacolor pencil colors blended with Baby Oil. Zentangle patterns: Bales, Shasta, Venetian, Fife and Dex.

I would like to share with you the following drawing which I did after watching several times the movie "Tomorrowland" from Disney, which is based on the Cherokee Indian Legend of the two wolves.

Picture
I felt the need to do this drawing so I could remind myself of its important positive message - What wolf am I feeding today?  I see it everyday when I enter my Art Studio (which is what I call my small room where I draw) and force myself to change my life's view if I am not in the correct mind set by feeding my good wolf ;-)
For those of you who have not watched the movie yet, below is a short clip from the movie where it makes reference to the Cherokee Indian legend the movie is about.
Cherokee Indian Legend
The Fight of the two wolves
An old Cherokee tells his grandson: "A fight is going on inside me. It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil, he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, arrogance, greed, self pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego. The other wolf is good, he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. The same fight is going on inside of you, and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a while and then asked his grandfather, "which wolf will win the fight?"
The old grandfather answered "The one you feed the most"

Here is a great motivational video from  You Tube called "The Good Wolf" by "Your World Within"
Hmmm....so much food for thought! ;-)

I leave you wishing you a life full of blessings, and as always if there is something for this post that you would like to try yourself, please feel free to do so.
